The city of Atlanta has been working on several commercial developments, to help aid the economy in a variety of ways. The capital of the state of Georgia and the largest city in the state is Atlanta. The city has been ranked as the 33rd largest city in the United States and has an estimated population of 541,954. The estimated population of the greater metropolitan area of Atlanta is around 5.41 million people and is ranked 9th overall in terms of population. The density of the city is roughly 629.4 square miles. The Atlanta area has seen an extensive growth, and much like other large-scale metropolises in the United States, has been rapidly increasing in terms of residents looking for career, business, and education opportunities. In the past decade more than 1.13 million people flocked to the area, making it one of the fastest growing areas, right behind the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The city of Atlanta has an economy that hinges on a wide variety of different companies, both large and small. It is a fast growing city with lots of Fortune 500 companies, and home to several larger corporations in the suburbs of the city. Some of the major companies include The Coca Cola Company, Home Depot, United Parcel Service, Newell, AT&T, Delta Airlines, Rubbermaid, and many others. With the wide variety of vocations to explore, and a growing economy, it is somewhat surprising that the unemployment rate has risen during the economic downturn.  Despite the increase in unemployment, that area has a large number of options to explore, especially for those looking to become entrepreneurs.
The real estate market of Atlanta is a point of interest for those that are looking to move into the area. While analysts have seen a decline in the overall prices of homes in the area, the average Median listing price has been seeing an increase due to higher buyer demand. There are a variety of options to explore, and while the median house price has fallen roughly 3%, there are still many in between to explore for those in the market for a new home. The local residents are hoping that the housing market rebounds quickly, and once that happens then it's likely that the commercial property sector in Atlanta Georgia will recover alongside - as prices slowly rise.

That fact is also why other, somewhat nearby cities, like Nashville, Miami, and Jacksonville are important places in the Southeast when it comes to commercial real estate. Interestingly, Atlanta has also produced the fastest growing millionaire population in the United States and it is estimated that this number will increase by another 65% withing the coming years.
